1948
and
1998
  Officer Walter West was part of the traffic unit in 1948. He is seen standing beside his patrol unit, a 1946 Chevy. 50 years later in 1998 Cpl. Bobby Price is seen standing beside his 1997 Chevy S10 Blazer when he was assigned to the Accident Investigation Unit. Both Officer West and Cpl. Price are photographed at the same location on Broadway, in the Overton Addition.
     
April 23, 1961   Officers arriving at the scene of an assault at 211 E. 23rd St.  
     
Possibly 1932 or 1934   Members of the Lubbock Police Department and Local City Officials pose in front of City Hall located at 916 Texas Av.  The police motorcycles are either a 1929 or 1930 model Harley Davidson Flathead. 

The officer in the front center wearing the white hat is Willie Metcalf and he was Chief of Police from 1932-1934. The third person from the right on the back row is Jess C. Levens - City Attorney. The sixth person from the right in the back row is Grady Harris, who later became the Sheriff of Lubbock County from 1945 to 1968.

 
     
Possibly the late 1920's   Fourteen members of the Lubbock Police Department pose for this photograph.   
     
December 4, 1938   Twenty one officers of the Lubbock Police Department posed for this photograph.  The photograph was taken in front of City Hall at 916 Texas Av.  Chief Don Reeder is in the front-center wearing a white hat. Carl Franis the sixth officer on the back row. The motorcycles were Indian models.  
     
Possibly taken in 1949   Some of the officers of the Lubbock Police Department are posing in the snow in front of the old Police Department Building at
1015-9th. Notice the top of the old Hilton Hotel in the background.
 
     
June 25, 1969   A Lubbock Police Detective is seen examining a stolen 1968 Chevrolet that had been recovered.  
     
August 2, 1975   Police officers point to evidence during
a crime scene investigation.  Officer in the foreground is Bruce Sickles.
 
     
September 12, 1968   Officers interview a subject during the investigation of a located marijuana field.   Pictured (in suits) are believed to be from left to right, Officer Wayne Love, Officer Claude Keaton, and in the center is former Lubbock District Attorney Alton Griffin. The plainclothes officer on far right is believed to be Jack Thomas.  
     
October 2, 1966   Officer Pete Hubbard investigates a suicide scene east of Quaker Av. on 66th St.
