CLOTHING ALLOWANCE

The Department provides Officers with uniforms and equipment, which include winter and rain gear, bullet resistant vest, equipment belts, flashlights, ASP batons, handcuffs, taser gun and pistol (Sig Sauer P229 .40 caliber).  In addition, each year Officers receive an annual  $1,200.00 clothing allowance.  The clothing allowance is used for dry cleaning and the replacement of uniforms and equipment.  Some authorized purchases include patrol uniforms, foot wear, stinger flashlights, coats, rain gear, and clothing appropriate to the Officer's assignment.
